Other than the standard Combined Pilot/Observer Badge in Gold with Diamonds, bestowed by Göring to honour exceptional achievement, there were two badges presented to test pilots flug-kapitänin Hanna Reitsch and flug-kapitänin Melitta Schenk Gräfin von Stauffenberg, the only women to receive the award. These variants came in the form of a brooch attached to a bar.  The badge was made of gold with inlaid diamonds.
